Prefontaine Classic
took place at historic
Hayward Field
in Eugene, Oregon on the
University of Oregon
campus, home of the
Oregon Ducks
. I acquired this
scarce
golf shirt/polo shirt from a local gentleman who was a field official at many Pre Classics over the years. The shirt's maker was
"3 Strikes"
(New York)...please see the neck's label; the shirt is tagged an XL (extra-large), but is probably closer to a Large as it measures approximately 28" in length (measured from top of neckline to bottom hem) by 23" wide (measured from armpit-to-armpit). You can see the nice embroidered logo for this IAAF Mobil Grand Prix track and field meet! This vintage shirt was made in the U.S.A., with a 50% polyester and 50% cotton blend. One of the short sleeves features a green-embroidered
NIKE
label (see pic), probably because Nike was the Pre Classic's key sponsor along with Mobil gasoline. I believe this great-looking
Pre Classic
official's shirt to be circa 1980's.

the shirt is in very *Fine Shape* overall, showing only gentle wear...
nice!!!
There are

funky odors,

armpit stains and
no
