This bottle is glass. It has been washed as we had it sitting in its metal crate holder for many years. This is the true story of its origin! In 1948 My parents bought a house and barn and 5 acres from Mr. FRANKLIN.  Mr.Franklin  owned the corner Gasoline Station in Rock Hill, Sullivan County, New York.  He didnt have garbage pick up in Rock Hill. He disposed of his used Gasoline Refuse/ Garbage in a far corner of his property!  As a kid I used to wander around in the woods, passing this huge pile of junk many times. As an adult I decided to dig and see what was there. I found this Shell bottle and many more amazing and interesting bottles and jars. Some very colorful,  like Milk of Magnesia Bright Blue!  Everyone was shocked at the amazing bottles we unearthed. I'm old now and need to lighten my load.
