Vintage Fanny Buss Women's 100% Silk Hand Printed Dress

Fanny Buss Dress - wearable art - Dress is hand printed on 100% silk. Fanny Buss was a designer and dressmaker in New Zealand. You can research her life and work on the web. Her clothing is on exhibit in museums in New Zealand and Wikipedia gives her biography. There are also a number of examples of her work  on the web.  This dress is an empire style with a belt that snaps in the back. The sleeves fall from the shoulder lower on the upper arm and are a bit gathered. The dress is printed  all around - some with a floral design and some with a  sort of tie dye effect. The top front portion has a row of pearl buttons down the front as well as on the cuffs.  and I do not know if the dress has been used much - it is in excellent condition and still has an extra pearl button attached at the neck label. Not sure of the size but the bust is 34", the waist is 28" and skirt gathers and flares just a bit with 40" hip measurement. The dress needs pressing and should be professionally cleaned and pressed  as needed. The dress comes to about mid calf. I will ship this dress in a strong box with acid free tissue paper.
