    Description

VIC Goalie Glove set: Catch Left, Blocker Right, SR. Condition is "Pre-owned". Sold as matching set. In incredible shape as you can see from the pics, barely used. I bought these about twelve years ago to use in practice and pickup because they are slightly heavier than what I use in games, but the job became life and I stopped playing. So, clearing out some of my gear. Measuring these out, the blocker including piping is 14.125" x 8.00", catcher is 17.00" corner to corner and natural open is right at 9.375" give or take wider if you flatten it out of coarse. Victoriaville, the manufacturer, is most well known for their wooden sticks spanning from the 1960s and 1970s (Bobby Orr/Ed Johnston/Bobby Rousseau/Jacques Plante/Bernie Parent/Gump Worsely/Frank Mahovolich/Rogie Vachon/Chico Resch/Gil Perrault/Jim Rutherford/Wayne Stephensen/Ken Dryden/Phil Myre/Andy Moog) and on up into the 90s (Patrick Roy/John Vanbiesbrouck/Kelly Hrudey/Ron Hextall/Mike Richter/Kolzig/Jeff Hackett/Benoit Hogue/Jeff Reese). Rawlings bought them out mid 90s and started producing lower quality product (I can't tell you how many VIC Rawlings goalie sticks I've broken). VIC also delved into the goalie equipment like these gloves and leg pad models (Tom Barrasso/Jeff Hackett/Tim Cheveldae/Kelly Hrudey), and in the 90s a short lived partnership with McMartin (very nice pads I have a set). VIC also covered all the goalie equipment for the late 80s roller hockey boom, made very well I remember seeing a few guys use the adult pads and gloves for ice as well. Anyway, this is a great set for occasional play or using as I had intended to quicken up the hands. In note, the blocker has not been curved since that is an individual taste, and the glove has 'OMAHA' hand written in silver marker on the cuff , I restrung it with heavy duty lace (I actually have another that I'm keeping I moved the back of the pocket above the body of the glove when I re-laced it to help locate pucks to the deeper pocket a neat little trick I learned when I was young on the old CCM GM model catchers FYI). I'll ship this bagged and boxed via USPS. Thanks for looking!
