A seemingly impromptu “FREE SOPHIA” Sunday Night Party @ The Legendary Studio 54, included this button given to all attendees to support Sophia Loren’s release from incarceration in Italy for Tax Evasion.( see accompanying newspaper article copy from May 1982.)
The rare white button with red graphics reading “FREE SOPHIA” measures 1-3/4” in diameter and appears to feature small droplets of blood dripping from the letters, indicating Ms. Loren’s presumed “Sainthood” status with Studio devotees.
