    : L73/L74 ballast for a 135 or 180 watt SOX lamp, single tap 347volts only.

    Two methods to get 347volts:
    1 -
    120 to 347 volts STEP-UP transformers are rare but 347 to 240 or 120 volts STEP-DOWN transformers are common. You can use a STEP-DOWN transformer in reverse to get nearly the 347 volts for the SOX ballast to work.
    2 -
    Get close to 347 volts from another multi tap HPS, Metal-Halide or Mercury-vapor ballast. The ballast must have higher watts than your lamp, plus have a 347v tap. With everything else capped, including the ignitor tap and lamp-out but leaving the capacitor as wired, you simply connect the 347 volt tap off of this multi-tap to the 347 volt input of the SOLA ballast. (Also connect the COM wire to common white of SOLA ballast, and the ground to ground). Your lamp lights up normally to full power with the correct lamp current of 0.9Amps.
    Summarizing:
    Connect 120v from your wall outlet to the 120v & COM of your multi-tap ballast.
    Connect the 347v tap & second COM wires of this multi-tap ballast to the 347v SOLA ballast.
    Two more green wire connections for earthing the core of each ballast, and you're one. See pics.
