    Description

Vintage , original , very large size actual b/w photograph , (Used - only in the sense that photo is mounted on cardboard backing).   actual photo , not counting the cardboard border backing is , 14" inches  across and 11" inches high.
actual early photo is very nice condition.    I own no negative this photo , this is only example I have.
This scene appears to be a corner / intersection , with a Shell Gasoline station that sold Firestone tires.   Not marked , but this gas dealership is from the city of
    Winston-Salem North Carolina.
not dated , but based on the cars shown in this and a few other Winston photos I will be listing , should date mid to late 1950's , 1955 , 1956 , 1957 , 1958 era.
the standup curb sign appears to read  " Stinson Shell Ser. "  so my best guess is the name of the station was ' Stinson Shell '.
the stand up curb sign with  ' 39 ' may be the gasoline price of .39 cents , but too faint to read.   another gas station photo from this find , was a Sonoco with a .30 cent gas price.
The Firestone sign attached to the Shell pole reads " Tire & Battery Service "
front of station shows two gas pumps with the shell globes and a tall oil rack.
To the right of the front door of the station there is a medium size stand-up coca cola drink machine.
just a guess , but the
narrow brick store behind the large Shell clam sign , has a Coca sign , above it , in faint may read " Bannors Place "   There are two young African-America ( negro ) boys opening the old style wood screen door to the store.    Behind this brick store , there is a large two store house.
I do not know the street or location , only the city , Winston-Salem.
I have a few other town business scenes of the same size , 14" (length) x 11" inches.   As all were removed from a local Winston business.
I do not own negatives or duplicate photos of this picture photograph.
This photo is glued to a thick cardboard backing , giving an aprox 1"- 2" inch border around the photo.
NOTE:  Payment is expected within 48 hours of purchase or it will be offered to the 2nd high bidder.
Please watch for my other local large business photos from Winston-Salem , all 1950's era.
