    Description

    The souvenir sheet (ss) is as presented in the pictures.
    Year 2006 is the 50th anniversary of first postage stamps printed with the theme "Europe" and 500 years  since the death in Spain of Christopher Columbus, great navigator of the 15th century.
    The four stamps depict the figure of the famous explorer, navigator and discoverer, reproduced after different portraits from those times.
    Romania issued the postage stamps in 2005, for the 50th anniversary of first EUROPA stamps. CEPT stands for European Conference of Post and Telecommunications Administrations.
