    Description

This is an original Pre - Prohibition era Green River Whiskey advertising tin sign in part of it's original gold wooden frame.  Copyright 1899 Owned by J.W. McCulloch appears in the lower left corner.  Chas W Shonk Co. Litho No B118 appears in the lower right.  The tin sign measures approx 33 1/2 by 23 1/2 inches and has no holes for hanging.  With the inner gold frame it measures approx 38 x 28 inches and hangs by a single wire.
Sign has some spot rust, fading and scuffs which can all be seen in the photo's.  The frame is the original gold inner frame but is missing it's original composite plate which should of appeared below:  "She was bred in old Kentucky" (You can see where the plate once was but I can't get it to come up in the photo's).  Also, the outer gold leaf frame is missing.
This is a rare hard2find Green River Whiskey collectible.
