I bought this device to train my dog and after a week did not need to use it anymore. there's no signs of usage on this device and it works so well. It takes a nine volt battery and if the battery goes low you'll see lights flashing to replace it when the sound is emitted you will see a red light and you will see a green flashing light just so you know that it's on and working If the dog barks repeatedly the sound will emit.
