pair Western Electric 32A Green Lacquer horns from WE 753C for 713

These legit late 1940s Western Electric 32A horns (these are the ones with cast metal 32A , manufactured by Western Electric for WE 713, 722, 720  and many other drivers… these are not KS spec) have a sandcast finish but are very high-quality in material and intricately made around the throat, where things get tricky.. This results in a lighter weight (I can't remember how many grams less but it's significant in materials). When you tap them the ring sounds much different compared to either Altec or KS (contract made versions).
(Western Electric had pretty rigid rules – – if the product is marked Western Electric, they were generally the manufacturer of the item. When items are marked “KS” it was a contractor and inspected.))
Feedback from customers has been at the Western Electric version sounds the best – – I know that I have received these comments directly from a serious 32 horn fan who tried all versions and then paid up for the WE because he loved the others so much....
In the end hard to say. I have listened to most of them, but you really do need the correct driver for the .78 inch opening. When you use the 713 almost everything sounds wonderful!
These were matched out of  a small inventory of original Western Electric 32 horns – – most of them are needed for restoration of some 753 systems …. Many have been stored, because of fluctuating market conditions and or lack of time. Last February the USA hobbyist “r***8” (message me and I can forward a photo of sale for reference) — successfully sold an original pair of WE 32 in the green finish, for 00!  —— this was a shocking price at the time.
These are in excellent condition matching finish and were removed from our original pair of WE753. Both horns have the little rubber gaskets even from when the 713 drivers were removed. The Greenish shinny finish is what you see, most of the time, only inside of the WE 753C systems.
When I sell units like this – – they also include a small piece of original style WE silk to place in the throat opening. It's a little bit of magic that helps with the sound a touch. The 713's had the silk bonded to their throat aperture for dust screen.
