Mirage
part number 5DR/61250
3½ inch driver
used in their AVS 200 surround and AVS 100 center channel speakers, manufactured in Canada c.1998. This capable little woofer was possibly used in some other Mirage speakers, but buyer is responsible for making that determination.

This driver is in clean, excellent condition.  The sturdy poly cone is flawless as is the large textile voice coil dustcap.   And, the surround is foam, but has been factory poly-coated for longevity; it may last indefinitely. Plus, the black-anodized steel basket is in terrific shape with no scratches or dings and the anodized bell covering the video-shielded magnet structure also looks great with minimal oxidation.  Also, the +/- terminals are keyed for polarity and have never been soldered on the spades.  All-in-all, this driver is very nicely preserved.
More importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds outstanding—very strong and detailed with fast, clear midrange that goes deep into treble and good low-end for the platform size.  Plus, I tested the DC resistance right at 3.5-3.7Ω, consistent with a nominal 4 ohm driver rating.  Lastly, the basket measures 3½” across (3⅞” from corners), it stands about 2⅛” tall, and the mounting holes are spaced 2¾” adjacent / 3⅞” diagonal, c-t-c.
This is a great find for someone that has a blown 3½” driver in their AVS-200, AVS-100 or other suitable Mirage (and maybe Energy) model—your speaker will be sounding its finest once again in no time!
