    Description

Mom began working for Heublein in the early 70's and then Jack Daniel's. We have a ton of cool items from those times and from the last 25 years that she sold wine so keep an eye out and we can combine
    shipping
for you. This is 'the Fifth' of Korbel Brandy in a remarkable and original violin shaped case, lined with plush blue and edged in purple cording. The case itself is marked 'made in Japan' and I remember as a kid when everything I looked at was made in Japan so this is really quite old. Years later and of course now, most things are marked 'made in China'. In 1972 and 73, Korbel produced 10,000 of these violin~cased brandy bottles to invoke the speakeasy era and the 40 year anniversary of the repeal of prohibition in the US in 1933. The total Korbel brandy production was approximately 9,600,000 bottles in 1972 and this promotion of the violin case represented just 0.1% of the '72 production, making this pretty darned rare! The product measurement from ounces to
    milliliters
changed in 1978 at Korbel so this,
    being from 1972,
reads 4/5 quart. Whew! Complete with the corked lid, (the handle may have been neatly glued (but a very nice job!) as it looks like there was a crack and I may be wrong about that but wanted to disclose it; last pic, toward the right side) this collectible will ship within the states for flat, insured, of course, so good luck and have fun bidding.
**A promise I make that is true since my beginning on eBay back in 1999~ I do not hold items.
Once you see the tracking number, the item is taken out of the house to be shipped as I'm first and foremost, excited for you to get your item and secondly, I'm not into clutter. SO, please be patient with our delivery systems as they are overwhelmed and I can certainly speak for our local PO. They're operating on a skeleton crew and UPS also drops everything there for the USPS people to deliver! Thank you for your understanding of this and the fact that I have no control of your item once it leaves my very capable hands. Thank you for perusing our site and God bless~
Also, combining shipping doesn't mean you get 2 or 3 items shipped for the price of one as a few have thought lately. It means I will pack everything together and save you money as in this example; one item is .15 to ship. Say you want 3 items, it will be less than tripling the price to be .45 but they can not all go for .15. (o:
