H. L. Griesedieck Distilling Company St Louis MO Souvenir Pre-Prohibition Plate
This is a very nice early pre-prohibition era advertising plate from the Henry Griesedieck Family distillery, a relative of the famous GB brewery or brewing family named Griesedieck Brothers in STL.
The plate is 9 inches round and shows a couple of birds or wildlife on it, perhaps turkeys or some bearded game fowl. The plate is in great condition with no chips or cracks.
This might be of interest if you collect early distillery or distilling etched shot glass or highball style items, signs, lighted back bar displays, etc. Competitors in STL to Anheuser Busch and their Budweiser brands, Hyde Park, Klausmann, Phoenix, Louis Obert, Central in East St Louis, Western in Belleville, Illinois, etc.
