    Description

This cutting tool is for cutting, scoring, chiseling, and trimming heavyweight materials.  The handle with aluminum collet can be used with blades, routers, gouges, and razor / pull saw blades.  Great tool for adding to your collection!
    Features:
4.9" (125mm) in length including blade
    Ergonomic textured red #5 handle
    Aluminum collet
Knife handle will fit most blade types from most manufactures, including X-acto, Excel, and Huron, but is recommended for:
    #26 whittling blades
    Razor / pull saw blades
#28, #90, and other gouges and carving blades
Applications where significant downward pressure is applied to the handle and blade
    Item is comparable to:
    X-acto X3005, X3205, X3206 (Type C handles)
    Excel 16005, 16006 (Type K5 and K6 handles)
    Huron HASK6923 (#5 handles)
    Revell RMXR6923 (#5 handles)
    Fiskars 165170-1001 (Heavy Duty handles)
Demystifying blade / knife handle compatibility:
Generally speaking, light duty blades (those with 1/4" shanks) should be paired with light duty knife handles; medium duty blades (the majority of those with 3/8" shanks) should be paired with medium duty handles, and the larger blades (such as #26 whittling blades, pull/razor saws, and certain other specialty use items, most of which also have 3/8" shanks) should be used with heavy duty knife handles.  The blade shank is the squared off part of the blade that slots into the knife handle.  It's physically possible to fit 1/4" shank into 3/8" collet, but it's not
recommended.  Because light duty blades are mostly shorter than medium duty blades, the cutting edge of light duty blades may feel unnaturally close to the thicker collet of a medium duty handle.  And it's not possible at all to fit a 3/8" shank into a 1/4" handle.
