    Description

This listing is for an exceptionally nice looking
Europex 1962 Overprinted Souvenir Sheet First Day Cover
plus a matching mint Souvenir Sheet of that same issue.
The souvenir sheet shows the prize-winning designs for Europa postage stamps
selected by a special jury of the International Committee of the European Schools Day,
which met in Turin, Italy, July 1961.
It commemorates the first Europa Exhibition in the United States.
    (EUROPEX March 3-4, 1962)
It has all original, never hinged gum and is numbered 056867 for authenticity.
The First Day Cover features an overprinted version of the s/s
and is postmarked September 17, New York.
It also features several postmarks resembling the Goodyear Europa blimp.
Besides a very slight smudge on the reverse, it is in excellent condition and still unsealed.
