Custom made just for you, a gorgeous Edwardian style gown, like in Titanic or Downton Abbey. Butterick pattern 6190, size E5, which includes all sizes between 14 and 22. I will ask you to send me some specific measurements so that I can adjust the pattern as needed to fit you exactly. Empire style; will fit through the bodice then fall straight to the floor, with a calf length overskirt and a matching dolman sleeved bolero styled jacket. Think Cora Crawley from “Downton Abbey”, this is precisely her style!
I have some gorgeous hand painted, embroidered 100% silk organza fabric that will be perfect but are not good colors for me. I will work with you to identify the color for the base dress and lining under the organza overskirt. I would recommend a soft coral or gold. The jacket (in organza) will be included. The cost shown will cover the cost of silk dress fabric and a partial cost for the bodice lace and the hand panted, embroidered silk organza; however, if you would prefer polyester crepe back satin and lining, the price will go down and I will adjust the price. Please contact me before purchase so I can make the adjustments. I live in a smoke and pet free home. All organza seams will be French (enclosed) seams; It will be extremely well made, and I will send pictures during construction of the gown. Payment is due within two days of purchase. I will need the funds to purchase the dress fabric. Gown will be completed and shipped 2 weeks after receipt of fabric.
