To be honest, I was quite skeptical about this thing- too much hype and it sounded impossible for the price. That said, the combo works great- my Ridgeback Hound and the gizmo itself. For reasons unknown, this dog seems to have written the owner's training manual. I could write a book about the results but let's just say it has been fun, funny, and extremely effective. It's worth the price just to see the look on Scarlett's face when an alien sends an electronic message.
Bought this for my sister. She has a very young pit bull she rescued. Seems it was kept outside so it had no manners. Constant jumping up and scratching and nonstop barking. She has only had to shock her twice with this. Now she can just use the beeps and she gets an instant reaction. If the dog sees the remote she knows what it is and doesn't try to misbehave. I was skeptical because of the cheap price but this really does work. It's like a completely different dog that's well behaved.
