    Offered for your consideration is one (1)
    Definitive Technology
    5¼ inch poly cone woofer
    that was original equipment in my C1-J center channel speaker. This cast frame mid/bass driver was likely manufactured by
    Vifa
    , like the tweeter that accompanied it in the C1-J, but it has no markings. It may also be correct for other
    Definitive
    speakers from the 1990’s and early 2000’s, but you are responsible for assessing its suitability for other applications.
    So, please take a look at my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if this capable driver is correct for your needs.
    This
    Definitive
    woofer is in clean, excellent condition. It has a flawless poly cone and perfect textile voice coil dustcap. Plus, the surround is permanent rubber instead of the decay-prone foam that’s widely seen on other brands. Also, the cast aluminum alloy basket is in great shape with no dings or scratches. And, the +/- terminals measure the industry standard .205”, are marked for polarity (red dot side is +), and have never been soldered on the spades. It looks practically new!
    Most importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds terrific with fast, detailed midrange and stout low end for the platform size. Plus, I tested its DC resistance at 4.9Ω consistent with a nominal 6-8 ohm driver rating. Lastly, the basket measures 5⅛” across (5⅞” from corners), it stands 4” tall (incl. the raised surround ‘roll’), and the mounting holes are spaced 3⅞” adjacent / 5½” diagonal apart, c-t-c.
    This is a nice find if you have a blown or damaged woofer in your
    Definitive
    C1-J center, or other suitable model, and will have your speaker working great again in no time!
