removed from my
first version
SubSat Six
speakers made c.1989. This high frequency driver was also used in the HD5 and may be suitable for other small
Boston
speakers from this era.  And, it’s practically identical to the 11-069-0 tweeter in
A40
Series II.  Buyer is responsible for assessing compatibility with their speakers.

This
Boston
tweeter is in clean, excellent condition. It has a perfect radiating surface, well-protected behind the acoustically transparent wave guide. Plus, the plastic faceplate looks sharp with no chips, scratches, or cracks by the mount holes. And, the +/- terminals are marked for polarity (red line + positive) and have never been soldered on the spades. Overall, it’s exceptionally well-preserved.
Most importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds very strong and clear. Plus, I tested the DC resistance at 6.5-6.9Ω, consistent with its nominal 8 ohm driver rating. Lastly, the faceplate measures 3½” x 2⅞”, it stands just under 1” tall, and the mounting holes are spaced 2⅝” long way / 2⅛” short way / 3⅜” diagonal apart, c-t-c.
This is a nice find if your early
SubSat Six
’s have a blown tweeter and will have them sounding their best again in no time. Long discontinued, it’d also be a smart spare to have around for future needs.
