    THIS UNIT WORKS WITH a 30 SPLINE INPUT SHAFT
    Most 700R4 transmissions after 1984 have the 30 spline input shaft.
    All 4L60E (electronic transmissions) have a 30 spline input shaft.
    *****PLEASE COUNT YOUR TRANSMISSION'S INPUT SHAFT SPLINES
    THESE ARE THE SPLINES WHICH STICK OUT THE FURTHEST FROM YOUR TRANSMISSION'S PUMP
    THE FIRST SET OF SPLINES (CLOSEST TO THE PUMP AND LARGER IN CIRCUMFERENCE)  ARE YOUR STATOR SUPPORT SPLINES AND WILL ALWAYS HAVE 27 SPLINES.
    THE SKINNIER LONGER SHAFT WHICH SLIDES THROUGH THE STATOR SUPPORT WILL HAVE EITHER 27 OR 30 SPLINES.  Please be sure you have a 30 spline input shaft.
    This unit is not compatibible with the early style input shaft which has 27 splines.
