JIMMY DURANTE "COPACABANA NIGHTCLUB" ORIGINAL TABLE CARD
- 1940s (Approx. 1943). 5.25" x 7.25" (folded).
We are offering an original table card from the famous Copacabana Nightclub in New York City (original NYC location at 10 E. 60th Street).
The "Copa" was known for its Brazilian decor, Latin-themed orchestras and "The Copacabana Girls" chorus line. These cards were placed at each table in the club. Card front features a color illustration the famous tutti-frutti "Copacabana Girl".
The inner-card spread celebrates the appearance of headliner Jimmy Durante. The famous profile of the "old Schnozzola" is featured... as he brought his act to the Copa in the early 1940s (approx. 1943).
Includes reference to entertainers Eddie Jackson, Jack Roth, Mary Ray & Naldi, Karen Cooper, Larry Brooks, Mildred Law, Nancy & Michael Mann, and Frank & Lawrence Andrini... better known as "Los Andrini." Also featured "The Lovely Samba Sirens", Joel Herron and his Orchestra, and Frank Marti & his Samba Band.
Durante's radio show is also mentioned... Fridays at 10 o'clock on WABC radio.

Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface/stain/edge wear. Mild surface creasing with no tears or chips. Moderate spine crease wear with no separation. Colors & imagery is still bold, bright and attractive.
Overall, a very unique and displayable example by most standards (see photos).
