    Description

    This fold out route map is in VERY GOOD condition.  Were it not for the mild discoloration of the blue covers (picture 2 & 3), and the slight tearing at the 4 corners creases of the folds (picture 8), we would call its condition excellent.
    Imperial Airways, a predecessor of British Airways, operated from 1924 to 1939.  Based on our research and the very few other examples of this map we have found, we are dating it to 1928.  However, there is NO date listed on the map.  We have photographed the 'fine print' of the map to show this.
    Unfolded, the map measures 30 inches by 20 inches.  Folded, the blue cover that it is affixed to measures 10 1/2 inches by 8 inches.
